History

Student Life, Career and Alumni Relations Coordination Office (ÖMIK) is a unit that was established with the decision no. 29 of our University Senate's meeting dated 24.05.2017 and numbered 06, and continues its activities under our rectorate.

Studies are carried out in cooperation with all academic and administrative units of our school in order to communicate at an institutional level with the thousands of graduates that our institution, which has a history of more than 30 years, has brought to our country and contributed to their education, and also to contribute to the educational life and development of our current students, whose number has reached fifty thousand.

Our Aims and Targets

-It was established as a unit affiliated with our Rectorate in order to communicate at an institutional level with the thousands of graduates that our institution, which has a history of more than 30 years, has contributed to the education of our country and to contribute to the educational life and development of our current students, whose number has reached fifty thousand.

-The unit, established under the name of Student Life, Career and Alumni Relations Coordinatorship, aims to establish a healthier communication with our graduates and students who are about to graduate, and to carry out studies to support our current students in order to make their university education and the time they spend here more qualified.

-The following goals are planned to be achieved in our unit, which will carry out studies covering our entire school with the active participation of at least one academic staff from each academic unit.

For our graduates

-In return for our graduates' longing and sense of belonging to their university, we will provide them with the privilege of graduating from our university, which has a deep-rooted history; Graduation days, medals of honor distribution for certain years, publishing news about graduates in the corporate magazine, festivals such as career days to be attended by the institutions founded and managed by our graduates, etc. organizations will be organized.

- Our graduates; The department can pave the way for them to meet each other according to their professions and interests, to carry out educational, business and hobby activities together, to develop useful ideas and carry out joint studies. A digital communication catalog will be created for this purpose.

- Today, our graduates, who have probably gained experience and seniority in the business & education world, will be offered options (physical contribution and/or sponsorship) through which they can support projects that will contribute to the development of both the universities they studied at and our city of Çanakkale.

For our students

-We can ensure that our students benefit from this information network by organizing events (conferences, company trips, etc.) where our graduates can share their experiences with our current students.

-Projects will be carried out that will enable our graduates to offer internship opportunities to our current students and additional employment opportunities to our new graduates.

-On the one hand, we will increase the loyalty of our graduates, and on the other hand, we will support the increase in the belonging of our current students to their universities and the development of their perspectives on their educational life.
